The luge doubles finished with the German pairing of Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt defending their Olympic title from Sochi 2014.

It was a dominant performance as the Germans were first in both runs and topped the final standings 0.088 seconds faster than the Austrian duo of Peter Penz and Georg Fischler.
The Austrians, who finished in the silver medal position, along with the other German pair of Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken, both held their 2nd and 3rd positions respectively through both runs.
This would be the first Olympic medals for Penz, Fischler, Eggert and Benecken.
Thomas Steu and Lorenz Koller would finish half a second back in 4th and a further tenth back were the Canadians, Tristan Walker and Justin Snith.
It was a completely dominant performance by the three medal winners in Pyeongchang.
