Summer Britcher would cause an upset as the American posted the fastest time in the second run with a 46.603. Geisenberger would post a third best time behind her fellow German Dajana Eitberger.
The third run would see the times pretty close with only the top nineteen moving through to the medal deciders. Geisenberger would post a 46.280, her slowest time so far but still the quickest in this set, nearly a tenth faster than Hufner who would finish just ahead of Alex Gough.
